Mary Shelley's modern Prometheus has come along way since she first published her brooding Gothic classic 1818. Our modern understanding of the creature was cemented by the classic Universal pictures of the 1930s and 40s but I doubt the authoress had half-nelsons and body slams in mind when she first pondered her science-gone-mad masterwork.
